The advertising people who work for the big pharmaceuticals and who are universally supported by the media, want us to think that vitamins have no ability to treat anything. We at QuietMinds disagree. But, if you buy into all of the media hype, you might even come to the conclusion that nutritional supplements are, in fact, dangerous.

Dr. Andrew Saul a prominent nutritional consultant (drsaul@doctoryourself.com) has pointed out that it would easier to find a fin or scale from the Lock Ness monster than to find a confirmed, vitamin-caused death. In light of the Federal Food and Drug’s pressing call to the world to report to its offices the slightest possibility of any problem with a vitamin or mineral supplement, the occasions should teem. Yet there are no such reports.

Constantly, Dr. Saul issues the defying question, “Where are the bodies? My own personal search of the medical literature has failed to find one death proven to be caused by the public’s use of vitamin supplementation”. “If you find one,” he challenges, “please send it on to me. Remember please that I am looking specifically for proven instances, not hearsay, I don’t want to hear such-and-such person, doctor, reporter, website or organization who makes a claim. Show me the coroner’s hard evidence.”

Meanwhile, with little effort QuietMinds editors found on the web that it is estimated that 44,000 to 98,000 deaths occur every year resulting from medical errors. (Institute of Medicine, To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System”, 2000). “However, there are at least 100,000 deaths from pharmaceutical drugs each year in the USA, even when taken as prescribed.” (Lucian Leape, Error in Medicine, American Medical Association, 1994, 272:23, p1851.

Misprescribed medication is the cause of death in one out of every 131 outpatient deaths and 1 in 854 of all inpatient deaths a hospital report shows. And we at the offices of QuietMinds Nutritional Supplements found a Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine Australian study that suggests that between 2.4 and 3.6 percent of hospital deaths are due to a mismanaged medication event. It is estimated that as much as 69% of these were preventable. Glass houses?

In fact statisticians with the Orthomolecular movement report to QuietMinds, LLC that the American Associations of Poison Control Centers, which maintains the United States’ national data base from 61 poison control centers from across the country, indicates that even including intentional and accidental misuse, the number of vitamin fatalities is less than one death per year.

QuietMinds makes no claim of it’s efficacy or to the ability of the unique combination of vitamins and minerals and amino acids within QuietMinds to cure or treat any diseases or mental illness. Instead, we report the successes of Elaine and Kassidi Bishop and others. They remain convinced of the ability of the QuietMinds Nutritional Supplements too stabilize their bipolar disorders, as do hundreds of other people from around the world with central nervous system disorder, such as depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, bipolar and many other mental disorders.

An overwhelming majority of customers responding to the positive effects QuietMinds’ formula, relate no side effects from vitamins, amino acids and minerals, except better physical and mental health. And, most report feeling, generally much safer without the debilitating side effects which they have experienced from psychotic and psychotropic medications.

Yes, but anything we publish is subject to your own verification of authenticity. This is not to imply that we deal in untruth. However, much of what we have come to believe, for substantially more than a decade, is often controversial and subject to considerable scrutiny. I just don’t want anyone to get blindsided without verifying our information with their own research. However…the truth is out there – sometimes you just have to dig for it.
